Take A Virtual Museum Tour

There are multiple ways to experience the Virginia Holocaust Museum. Almost 50,000 people visit the physical museum located at 2000 East Cary Street in Richmond, Virginia each year. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it became necessary to find a way to bring the museum to individuals who were unable to visit in person. This led to the creation of a virtual museum tour.

For those who cannot visit the Virginia Holocaust Museum in person, we now offer a virtual museum tour of our permanent exhibits as an alternative – available 24/7. To take the virtual museum tour, simply click on the screen below. During the tour, you will hear from our President and Executive Director, Samuel Asher, who will share why our mission is so personal to him and his family. Following that, our Director of Guest Services, Matthew Simpson, will guide you through all of our permanent exhibits as if you were walking alongside him.

The video runs for approximately 58 minutes and contains difficult subject matter and graphic imagery, so please consider this before watching it with young children or sensitive individuals.
